Rubber material recovery
Professional project support for thermo-mechanical processing systems that convert rubber crumb into reusable material streams.

Rubber material recovery
GLP works with partners on processes to de-vulcanise rubber crumb by breaking sulphur bonds and returning rubber granulate to a reusable material stream.
The process uses rubber granulate of a specified size and quality. Material is delivered in big bags, checked, fed into the process and passed through a magnetic section to remove or detect ferrous contamination.
The process is thermo-mechanical. No chemicals are added to the rubber granulate; it uses temperature, pressure and mechanical manipulation of the rubber molecules.

Process stages
Incoming rubber granulate must meet defined size, quality and material requirements.
Approved material is fed from big bags into a hopper and mechanically transferred to the main process.
The feed passes through a magnetic section to check for ferrous contamination.
The resulting de-vulcanised rubber can be used again as a rubber material stream.
